Nitro editor


  • (1) List of all the scene materials. The list displays the proxy materials when the editor is in proxy editing mode.
  • (2) Switch to the available editors (Presto, Nitro and presets)
  • (3) Select the type of the material. The available types are:
    • Standard - Can be used to create any type of material like plastics, translucent, metals, glass, etc
    • Thin film - A special material type that does not take refraction into account. It can be used to simulate window panes, and soap bubbles
    • Shadow catcher - Another special material type that turns a material to a shadow catcher. The background image will be visible through any object that this material has been applied to but it will receive and display shadows from the scene. It is used to integrate a rendered model in a background image
  • (4) The components that make up a material. Surface, coating, emittance, and medium. The toggle button can enable or disable any of the components.
