Hi Everyone,

Below are a few images that I'm free to show. I wish I could show more, but due to confidentiality agreements I can't, but perhaps later in the year when they expire.

Some of these you've seen, some are new.

Click on the images for the full sized version.

Thanks Rombout!

Here's a link to a packed Thea file with the sand material in it. I made the actual sand ridges and bumps in the rendering via geometry instead of displacement, but other than that everything was in this material. Hope it helps.

PS i have a studio setup which you might like, though i cant share the IBL but you can achieve quite the same with mesh lighters.

PS there's also some postpro done here for the color balance.
But let me know if you want this setup

PS better export a mat from your library instead of pack the scene. If you save your material to your library in the bottom and than rightclick>export

Hi Rombout,

Thanks for the exporting tip, I didn't know you could just export materials, that's great. Were you able to get the sand material from the packed file I've already provided, or did you need to just export the material?

And yes, I'd love for you to share the studio setup above, it looks fantastic and could come in handy sometime!
Best Regards,

Ryan

Here's the link to the studio, this is without the IBL. PS it renders a bit slower cause this concrete is produced by displacement

Here's a quick render of your sand material.

There is one thing to remind, these light panels have exr files for the light. They give a nice blueish light, though they render a bit slower. Giving them a simple color it renders much faster

I noticed the exr files in them, and did some test renders, they do produce quite a nice effect. thanks for the tip for speed however, that is very good to know.
Best Regards,

Ryan
