I purchased a license (recently) for Thea Render for SketchUp, and I have two questions about the "Material Libraries in SKM Format." Please note that I am still figuring out the program and am learning how to integrate materials into my models.

1. What is the benefit of having the materials in the SketchUp format vs. the standard format used in the Thea extension?

2. When I use the download link, even though I'm a registered for the forum and am a licensed user, it tells me that I am not authorized to read that forum? I simply click the download link on this page: https://www.thearender.com/site/index.p ... skm-format to have it take me to a forum page which reads "You are not authorised to read this forum."

Thanks for your time!

You can see skm materials in SketchUp material browser. Thea materials are only available through thea4su browser.

Depending on your workflow you decide what's best for you. As converting thea mats to skm is an extra step, I guess everyone around would rather use Thea browser. I might be wrong...

I don’t know if things have changed in V2, but generally, back in the 1.5 days, when you purchased a license and registered, your name in the forum would turn color (gold I think). And this seems to be a key to gaining access to the members only areas, like the material cache. Since your name is black, I wonder if something has gone wrong with your registration. Might be a good idea to contact whoever is in charge of that and double check that you are good to go.
