Dear friends,

we are happy to announce the direct availability of Thea Render v1.5, for licensed users only.

And where to start from? In the last months, we worked in many independent directions and at the end, we found with extreme pleasure, that all these directions converged into one major advance for Thea's material system. On top of that, two additional tools complement with the new features, and we hope that it will be a very satisfactory release for our users.

You can visit directly our central page for v1.5 here:

Online Material Repository

It is with great pleasure, to present here our new site for Thea's material repository. All official libraries have become available now even for evaluation purposes. Users can contribute and exchange materials from our new platform. Christina has developed the site and created also an introductory video to get you started with the new site:

Substance Material Converter

We really expect to see lots of new materials in the repository! And for that, there is another battle tool: the brand new Substance -> Thea material converter.
Check out our Substance landing page: https://www.thearender.com/site/index.p ... erter.html

New v1.5 Features

What about the new features? I really hope that you are going to enjoy them and Patrick has prepared both a very analytical tutorial how to use them, along with an introductory video.

Floating Licensing

I am sure that our business customers will appreciate the introduction of floating licenses which can cut down the overall licensing cost. Floating licensing allows unlimited installations of our software and usage on a multiple-user environment. In this case, the users are licensed dynamically through a machine residing in the local network (license server). So, the number of floating licenses essentially defines the maximum number of simultaneous users.

Thea for Fusion 360

Along with v1.5 launch, our exporting integration for Autodesk Fusion 360 is also available. Grzegorz Rakoczy, our Blender plugin developer, has worked on creating a very robust and easy-to-use integration. Note that the plugin is acting as exporter and rendering is taking place inside Studio.
Check out our Fusion 360 integration landing page: https://www.thearender.com/site/index.p ... n-360.html

Promotional Pricing

To celebrate the launch of our new release, there will be promotional pricing of the new software with up to 40% discount. The pricing will take effect from 21st July till 10th August.*

We hope that you will enjoy this new release as much as we enjoyed preparing it!

Best wishes

* Note that there will be a partial refund scheme for the users purchasing the software in the last days. For the ones that bought a license between 7th & 13th July, there will be half promotional refund (i.e. 50 euros for Studio, 40 euros for bundles) and for those that bought a license between 14th & 21st July, there will be full promotional refund (i.e. 100 euros for Studio, 75 euros for bundles).

There is no data exchange between our forum & the repository. You have to register separately there.
