Yeah...and perhaps sell it us under-the-counter :shh:

Yes you read correctly, currently we have both options in beta, I still do not have the new BSD (field mapping), I'm assuming it will be an additional option and not a replacement option.
You are wrong ;)

Then I have a version that has both GPU versions (I'm gonna keep it)
No, you are wrong about field mapping. It is a kind of replacement to make things easier.

But the question was if the GPU solution was both unbiased and biased?

:silent: but as is already said, I could confirm that there are two available methods.

The ease of use of Thea is one of it's best points. If the new BSD approach using field mapping gives good results without having to spend ages fiddling with settings, it's going to be incredible even if it take a little longer than other engines. Combined that with the ability to preview the final look in real time using interactive render and get a better preview pretty quick with TR1 or TR2 and we are looking at a render pipeline that is looking pretty amazing. I can't wait.

I'd suggest the ease of use to be supported with detailed, clear, and rich of examples manual. Time spent in online hunting for user experience examples is abnormally huge.

To quote Christina in another thread:
Also, the new manual has been written from scratch (it is not an update of the previous one), and as in the meanwhile of writing it, several changes at the software (in engines and also at the interface) have been made, this caused a delay, but will be out together with the new version very soon..

Hi,
Are any news on batch render or render queue ?
And when I am at it. Button used to save all rendered channels in one folder, would be very help full too.

Thank you for your work. I am all geekily excited for new render engine.
And decision behind it I admire the most: We need to make theas BSD engine more user friendly. Let's invent new method of doing it. Its really inspirational.
