The old mans head is stunning! I assume it is made from some scan data?

I haven't used Presto for awhile because it wasn't working right. I made a post about the problems months ago and I never got an answer regarding whether or not it was solved. I kept getting blank screens. Others said they were having the same problem. Was this ever solved?

CPU + GPU sounds lovely. It is the next logical step to max out performance (until now I felt a bit guilty about buying a good graphics card for a render machine...).

the clipping function sounds great (maybe this feature will be integrated with the SketchUp plugin to use section planes? :o ).

And I am very curious about the new Sky System!

Unfortunately, the blank screens is a generic issue/fault of the graphics card that may be coming from driver or indeed an application bug. But it is not indicative at all of the bug nature. Each generation of Nvidia cards seems to be "sensitive" to different things (just a personal impression here, not professional opinion).

That said, and since each system is different, I suggest that you check that your driver is up to date and try new versions. Till now, in each revision, we had a stability improvement for Presto and trying for example latest one may be successful. If problem persists, it is better that you contact us through email and not posting on forum.

We were really anxious to get this technology preview out after a very fruitful summer, where many of these advances have been made. In fact, things have been advancing so fast in the last weeks that there are probably a couple more improvements to make it in v1.3 that are not shown in the teaser trailer! ;)

Till the next edition comes out, we will be writing in detail about each & every improvement we have made. We don't want to go in details right now and neither disclose some things too early - for obvious reasons! :shh:

As we expected, v1.2 has been a turning point of us and the excitement is now even more!

Best wishes
