After checking with Tomasz, the section cuts cannot be rendered animated.

Best wishes

I've run a few tests and animated section cuts are not rendered at the moment - unfortunately...
But I'm sure we will see further development in this area in the future... :)

EDIT: Aahhh well... Giannis have already posted about this... :thumbup:

No. This is because there is no modeling operation taking place, i.e. the cut is not really happening on the model. The best way with that would be actually to have such a tool applied, before rendering (I wonder if it makes sense seeing all the replies here to actually make one...).

You need to apply Passive Emitter to the Skalp material, to make section fill visible in the "dark void".

It's a little tricky, but certainly can be done... :)
Here's one with a texture...

There are no free scripts that make a material into a passive emitter :D. If what you want to do is create a section cut face, what you can do is the following:

- Select a section with rigth click and select "create group from section";
- With section cut face plugin (free) rightclick and "add section cut face";
- use rich section;
- Use skalp (paid);
- Solid section (paid from Dibac developers)
