workflow, performance and efficiency are my only priorities - the rest is nice to have (if done well of course) but not needed if it means the important things get less development time.
That's what UI means for me and I also feel GUI is secondary. There are functional aspects of the UI principles that I am not fond of.

However the thing is that in Altair's framework any workflow will be possible and IMHO they would benefit a lot by talking with you, but that would require you actually testing it.

It has no real issue apart from missing functionality.

Since the beginning of beta, even if Altair was pretty clear about it, a lot of us confused inspire render with inspire studio.

The base of the software is studio, not render. studio is a modelling software, not a rendering software. That's why it took so long to develop at start. However the rendering part of the software is almost independent block within the same framework.

Inspire render is that isolated block only, and it works, or actually it will work.

The only issue here is that as the core software is studio, all tutorials and videos are based in studio and that confused users like rombout, who are opinion makers here.

You are an opinion makers too, and you should give inspire render a chance and help us test it.

Setting up lights is virtually impossible.
We use to be able to insert one downlight with an emitter then copy as many needed in the ceiling. where is the copy an paste?
Did anyone try? I spent half a day and can not achieve the desired results

As nigec already replied, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V

We have replication tools.... in Inspire Studio.

Thanks Nige
I find it impossible to line up the lights
Can we add the emitter in the light fixture?
Any chance of a sample?

LOL, what copy and paste?

This scene was originally in 1.5, I change the emitter to the one in version 2 and presto all lights on.
Rendered in presto AO set to 0
