almost a month , ( 6 days/week , 9 hour/day) of learning and making of tree using growfx in 3ds max , collecting leafs and barks , i have prepared 4 spices trees ( 3 to 4 variations for each) , i have did this all to sell them in sketchup format , they will be render ready for Thea , vray and enscape .

images i have posted is a alstonia scholaris tree , it has unique branching system and beautiful leaf arrangement .
i want some suggestions from you all about
(1) what is a best place to sell them , means i dont have any experience of selling online , is gumroad is good? or any other?
( 2) what should be the fair price for a package which include 3 to 4 variations of a tree.
(3) is the scene setup in the image is good ? or i should render them with plain background for presentation?
(4) am i going in right direction ? will i get enough sell from sketchup users? ( i am working very hard to make them very much realistic )
(5) anything else you want to guide me.

thank you :)

Hi. Great to see more trees for Thea.
I decided to sell through Skechucation simply because it was the simplest way for me. They take a percentage for it though.
About the price it’s really up to you. How much work have you put into it? Do you want to sell to fewer for a higher price or to many with a lower price? Your decision.
Also what tree species are you planning to create?
Would many users find them useful or just a few?
As I live in Sweden I’m interested in plants that are common here. People in other places have other wishes.
When I made my plant sets I made a few different versions. I think three would be enough for most occasions.
I made a few different leaves so that it wouldn’t look too artificial.
Good luck!

Oh, about your presentation.
To me the leaves seem a little too saturated.
The renderings with a background is good as it shows the size. However the trees don’t stand out against the background and having architecture is always twofold. Some will like it and others won’t.
Do some research and decide what your presentation style will be. And stick to it. If it doesn’t sell you could always change the style later.

is it season ? , age? or geometry ?
"To me the leaves seem a little too saturated. " is it over green or less green ? i find it over green , i am attaching original photo clicked by me.

My personal view is that you need three slightly different versions geometry wise.
Different age or season is a bonus that is also great to have.

Nice job!
Of course the colour tone also depends a lot on the lighting.
I find the Thea skies quite useful to use as a reference if you want to tweak some colours

I would say the tone is darker though some leaves are yellower and brighter. So, like Pixero says, having versions of the right tones and a percentage distribution is usually more realistic.

The leaf geometry is also too low poly so it doesn't hold well in close-ups.

Finally the trunk seems too low poly and the texture bump/displacement isn't enough
Displacement really kills render times, so in trees, my choice is to use blender's displacement modifier and apply that to trunk geometry.

About shop, I think sketchucation is a bit niche/specific. It's great for SketchUp, but even SketchUp users buy somewhere else too.

Shops that allow users to sell high poly models and have wide variety is what I'd choose.

Turbosquid comes to mind but there are others which I can't remember right now.

thank you JQL
the tree is already around 300 k poly (each tree) i am trying to make trees look real with moderate poly keeping in mind for sketchup and theair renderer , btw i havent applied any bump and reflection/roughness map to the leafs and trunk , i think it will look bateer after applying those maps.
