is not physical
but only plans cross with a texture
this is an old system
that can only be used
in perspective ;)

This give great results and would expect quick results as well. Did you use instancing for the layout of the planes?

oke now that trick from kerkythea indeed... i do have those libraries still on my drive.
Would like to shre the mat settings perhaps??

I used instances in 3dsmax
instead in thea
for use the instances
must create
a group made up of several crosses
because the value (minimum distance) is of 0.01 m
Rombout
for the material grass I used a basic
the same texture
for reflectance and translucent
changing the tone mapping
Actually you should try
with the material SSS
