Perhaps misleading title, i think this should have been send much earlier though and separate per plugin. Atleast the SU one.

At Open Studio (www.openstudio.se) we are looking forward to Thea Render V2 Studio (on Linux) as well! We render our architectural CAD models in Thea Studio for visualization and use server based cpu rendering (with AMD Zen) exclusively, so I hope the cpu engines optimization get some love (there has been so much fuzz about presto and gpu rendering lately). But most of all I am looking forward to an upgrade to the Studio GUI without the lingering small bugs. In v.1.5 for Linux (don't know about Windows) there are a few things in the GUI that can easily crash the application. No issue if you have been using Thea for a long time and know about the bugs, but new users tend to tear their hair off once or twice before learning to avoid them.
To be honest; There are many competitive rendering engines available today and for us as architects the availability of a large, well structured material library matters much more than fine tuning of rendering times and light bounces, so I really hope we get a very stable and easy to use product with a much much larger available material library (yes I know creating hundreds or thousands of materials is not what you dream of as a dev, but that is exactly why we desperately hope you will do it for us) ;)
Cheers
