just tested my new little Titan and so far Iam very impressed with Presto² :D

System:

EVGA gtx TITAN SC @979MHZ boostclock (temps ~ 63° - FANspeed 60%)
+ i7 3960x @3.3Ghz (XMP) 64gb DDR3
(ATi Firepro V8800 for Display only)

Deviceprioritysweetspot in Thea:

1. Test - CPU(normal)+GPU(high)
2. Test - CPU(normal)+GPU(low) -> Test fails on GPU @ normal and high Priority
3. Test - CPU(normal)+GPU(high)
4. Test - CPU(normal)+GPU(high)

noticed: high CPU priority will bottleneck GPU performance


and the results:

Device #1 = i7 3960x

note that the priority of GPUs was set on 'NORMAL'
the 2600K is overlocked @ 4.5gHz
the 2 GTX 780ti are factory-overclocked ( around 1200 mHz each )

Can someone explain to me how come older graphics cards like gtx 570 and 580 achieve better results than 670 and 680 while having singnificantly lower computing power (GFLOPS)? here is a comparison:

Is it reasonable then to buy 580 cards, or will their architecture be an obstacle in the future?
From the results you can see than it is just about 25 % slower than titan.
