hard to tell from the changelog so can i ask if there are any fixes or improvements for the Presto noise issue?
I just tested it quickly with the scene that I reported the noise problem with. Nope, there is no improvement on presto noise level.

I don't know what to say.

This is not a wave a magic wand and fix situation Benjamin and Ioannis has been working on the subject since it was reported.

So the status is that we have not closed the ticket and it is still outstanding.

I have a prediction to share here: when it gets fixed, I bet Presto will be even more optimized than before.

Well i did change my settings but didn't do a restart. I see it beeing saved now. I guess the option "auto refresh image while rendering" does it then. I thought the auto save option would do this.

Good to know

Maybe that option should be added to the feature request list?

I have been experimenting with noise reduction and new techniques for Presto since, almost, the time of reporting this issue. It is still ongoing research for this, since reducing the noise is actually the holy grail for render engines like Presto.

But this exact issue where you see an older version with less noise leads to Presto actually "losing" lights. I am very very hesitant to go back to the older version, instead I am putting all my effort in the last weeks researching and experimenting with more techniques for reduced noise.

Best regards
