I cannot get glare to work with BSD renderer, it works fine with unbiased.

Would I be right in thinking that Glare has replaced Bloom?

Yes, for the bloom effect you can use radial.

I believe that the missing glare effect is related to the loss of high dynamic range
present in biased mode (a deliberate choice to give best AA). That's the same reason
why biased mode saves low dynamic range when using HDR/EXR format. We have
in mind to make this user adjustable.

A switch would be a good idea, also I'd like render glare as a separate pass.

It works for me, but Thea sometimes is crashing when I enable glare. But I do almost only biased renders and I definitely can see glare.

Maybe its not working so well since the shots I have been working on are nighttime ones,
with artificial lights, since they aren't as bright as the sun.
Maybe thats why they aren't effect by glare ?

I doubt that this might be the reason. Perhaps, you can increase glare weight so that the effect is more powerful?
