Hi Ioannis,
try to find and remove that ugly blue/yellow ghost checker that still appears in the preview scenes if I don't replace the "index.txt" file ;-)

Cheers

I can't seem to be able to reproduce this on any mac. Is this fixed if you edit the index.txt file?

The old ones were perfect for stills, very sharp and well defined like in hardly any other renderer.
Would it make sense to have a choice here?
The new one is actually much better in terms of evaluation. There is a difference in strength
(the new one is stronger), so one has to set strength now less and there are no "fireflies"
when it comes to unbiased rendering.

@Rombout: which one is the new bump?

@DallasRT: we will make an auto-conversion in next revision.

@ Giannis the left one

If you are creating new materials and used to give 100% bump before, then new bump will be similar when range 10-20% is used. Glossy trasparent types might be best in 5-10% range. Snow and similar sparkly materials might work best with a high bump.

Hi Ioannis,
yes, editing the index file and writing the scene names in alphabetical order fixes it.
No big deal, but I'm jumping on my seat every time I see that ugly checker appearing ;-)

its not really fixed when editing the index. Try and take direct light out of the index and the problem will shift to a other scene

Hi Rombout,
I've never tried that, I'm just too happy to have the preview working properly when fixing the index file ;-)

I just have the 4 default scenes, cloth-direct-ies-unbiased, that's it.
And my usual preview scene is the direct one.
