you don't need it all the time, for example a furnished living room with very little glass wouldn't need it were as a kitchen with wine glasses, bottles etc would benefit from it, rather than a very high tracing depth

We want to ensure the feature works fine. It is possible that we will enable it by default in a future. We have learned already it improves overall image convergence in most cases.Zacchia wrote:Extended Tracing is there a reason not to set this by Default??

Sure. You can even create your own SU template, so every new model will have it enabled.Zacchia wrote:... i mean I can save a SU file and set it there as Default file... So every time i render it is Default. There is no reason not do do that, correct?
