It appears that the sun size and bloom is being controlled, or at least in relationship, by the fog settings themselves. I can't find in SketchUp or the plugin any way to manually change the size of the sun (which would be good if the fog is looking good, the sun should still be far on the horizon and much smaller). But, I am truly lost trying to understand these settings.JQL wrote:To reduce bloom, you just have to reduce sun's intensity.duanekemp wrote:But, it's supposed to look a bit more like this... It also is a good idea to have bigger sun radius with fog.
At least tinkering with both will give great control of fog+sun effects.
Rombout, no... SketchUp shadows are off and sun is not used for shading. However, yes, I do have manual sun so I could control exactly where the shadow lines would hit. But, as mentioned, it seems that the sun size is dependant (or unrelated to normal settings in my control) to the fog settings themselves.
As Beta testers, did you guys have any success with sundown, twilight hour sun with fog?
Is there yet a forum post that someone has already described some settings for such scenes?
